Alisia McClain is the founder of TECH-Nique, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging communities in co-creating solutions through generative AI—a transformative technology fostering creativity and expression. With a passion for inspiring tech resilience and adaptability among diverse and underrepresented groups, Alisia is a recognized leader in leveraging technology for collective impact.

Previously, Alisia served as the Executive Director of Microsoft's Future of Work Initiative, leading a groundbreaking civic/private partnership to prepare Louisville for advancements in machine learning and AI. Under her leadership, the initiative facilitated over 10,000 engagements with residents, awarded more than 2,500 industry-recognized badges and credentials, and developed the first-of-its-kind AI city blueprint in collaboration with the Brookings Institution. She also championed equity and inclusion in data science and AI education, bridging traditional and non-traditional learning spaces.

Alisia holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, Evaluation, and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville. Her research focuses on the intersection of authentic leadership and intersectionality within computer science education, reflecting her commitment to nurturing inclusive environments that drive equity in technology. As a generative AI expert and community leader, Alisia is dedicated to harnessing this powerful technology for social good and transformative change.
