ALISIA McCLAIN

Alisia is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership, Evaluation, and Organizational Development at the University of Louisville.  Her dissertation research is centered in the socio-cultural factors that influence the participation of underrepresented groups in technology.  She is also the Director of Community and Education Initiatives with the Microsoft Future of Work Initiative, a partnership between Microsoft and the city of Louisville to make Louisville a hub for innovative technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.

TECH-Nique's mission is to address the gap in representation in the field of computer science by providing empowering community-based opportunities for marginalized groups in the field of technology.  We are a registered non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation.
