IMPACT REPORT

Our Service Numbers

TECH-Nique’s mission is to provide community-centric opportunities in technology that elevate the voices and experiences of underrepresented groups.

Theory of Change

TECH-Nique’s theory of change is embedded in every action, program, and platform we create. It shapes our conversations, digital presence, and public engagements. At its core, this theory is simple yet profound: Introducing underrepresented youth to technology and leadership early on can transform their futures and the tech industry itself. Every training, workshop, and program we offer is a testament to this belief, reinforcing our commitment to a diverse and inclusive tech sector. In 2024, we expanded our programs, enhanced our curriculum, and deepened our impact through immersive learning experiences, workforce development, and community engagement. This theory is not just a blueprint—it’s the heartbeat of TECH-Nique.

In 2024, TECH-Nique continued its commitment to reaching underrepresented communities by serving youth in key Louisville zip codes, including 40203, 40208, 40210, and 40212. These areas represent diverse populations with varying access to technology education and career opportunities. TECH-Nique ensured that more young people had access to the resources, mentorship, and skills needed to pursue futures in technology.

Cultivating Leaders in Technology

TECH-Nique is more than a learning experience—it’s a launchpad for leadership. Participants don’t just gain technical skills; they develop the confidence and expertise to lead. Many graduates transition into leadership roles within our programs, serving as near-peer mentors, facilitators, and advocates for the next generation of learners.

The Fold

The Fold is a TECH-Nique initiative that equips participants with AI knowledge, teaching experience, and leadership skills. The program has two parts: an internal component focused on Leadership and AI development through monthly meetups that include training, discussion, and mentorship, and an external component where participants apply what they’ve learned by taking on leadership opportunities in AI and tech, such as teaching and facilitating workshops in their communities. Through leadership workshops and mentorship, members learn to apply and share AI concepts within their communities, creating lasting impact.
